The questions we are asked most about trainings, registration, certificates, workshops and Code Online Studio.
Teacher Training
For Mat teaching, begin with Mat 1 + Movement Foundations; for Reformer, begin with Reformer 1. If your goal is to teach across the full apparatus, the Comprehensive pathway can be planned from the outset.
Yes. Entry modules build from core principles. You should, however, be ready to maintain personal practice, observe classes and complete the study requirements assigned throughout the program.
Your anatomy and movement background is valuable, while the Code Pilates repertoire, teaching method and assessments must still be completed. The Education Director reviews your records and recommends the appropriate pathway.
This entry module includes 24 hours of structured education. It combines Movement Foundations with introductory Mat repertoire, safe progressions, teaching cues and class organisation.
Mat 2 and Mat 3 advance the repertoire and develop adaptation, sequencing, observation, cueing and independent lesson-planning skills for different client needs.
Reformer 1 introduces safe teaching of the fundamental repertoire. Local regulations, employer standards and insurance requirements must also be checked; completing the full Reformer pathway provides broader competence.
Each module builds on the knowledge and practical skills of the previous level. Required practice, observation and assessment steps must be completed before progressing.
The Comprehensive pathway combines Mat, Reformer, Trapeze Table/Cadillac and Tower, Chair, Barrels, functional anatomy, self-practice, observation, practice teaching and comprehensive assessment.
The pass mark is 70. The examination has both a written and a practical part.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a high-school diploma or equivalent.
The Mat path is shorter and limited to the mat repertoire. Comprehensive training also covers the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel and small apparatus, and it is usually the path studios and private clients look for. It is also the path that leads to the comprehensive certificate and, after that, to an NCPT application. If you expect to work on all apparatus eventually, planning the comprehensive path from the start is usually more economical.
Registration & Payment
Each training is published with its country, currency and registration method. The fee may be displayed or marked “contact for pricing”; registration is final after payment or educator confirmation.
Detailed information regarding content, format, schedule, language, participation requirements, and additional conditions can be found on the individual workshop description page. Participants are encouraged to review these details carefully before registering.
The event card and detail page show the confirmed date, local time, location and participation format. Always review these details before registering.
Select View Details on the relevant workshop. The detail page shows the educator, content, format and the registration or payment route approved for that event.
Certificates
Yes. Your certificates, training hours and previous curriculum are reviewed individually. A personalised bridge plan identifies any modules and assessments still required.
Make-up arrangements depend on the module structure and educator calendar. Required hours and practical work must be completed for certification, so absences should be reported as early as possible.
You must complete the relevant module hours, observation, self-practice, practice teaching, assignments, payments and required assessments. Exact requirements are provided in writing for your pathway.
The certificate documents your completed pathway and hours. Work rights, insurance, employer and professional requirements differ by country and must be checked for your intended location.
No. There is no examination at the end of individual modules. Each completed module is recognised with a certificate of participation.
All modules must be completed, followed by a written and practical final examination. Candidates who pass receive the Comprehensive Teacher Certificate.
A certificate of participation for every completed module, and the Comprehensive Teacher Certificate once all modules are complete and the final examination is passed.
Yes. 100% attendance is mandatory. For online workshops, participants are required to keep their cameras on throughout the session. Late arrival, early departure, or failure to meet attendance requirements may result in ineligibility for certification.
Yes. You must meet the attendance and completion conditions published for that workshop. Recorded Code Online Studio programs follow the completion conditions shown before purchase.
There is no single global licence in Pilates. “International” usually refers to one of four different things: an independent accredited certification exam (NPCP/NCPT), a national professional register (such as REPs UAE or EREPS), the school’s own certificate, or the fact that a school teaches in several countries. The Code Pilates certificate documents the training path and hours you completed and lets you meet the hour requirement for the independent NPCP exam. The right to work is assessed separately in each country.
Code Pilates is a private education organisation and what it issues is a private professional certificate. It is not registered with Türkiye’s e-Devlet system and has no official status in Türkiye; there, the official authority for instructor licensing is the Turkish Gymnastics Federation and the official licence is obtained through that channel. Because our certificate is built on an international education framework, it can nevertheless support your accreditation process in some countries.
The right to teach depends on each country’s own legislation. Because our certificate is built on an international education framework, some federations and professional registers do grant accreditation on the basis of it, while other countries additionally require a national qualification. We therefore recommend researching the current rules of the country where you plan to work before you enrol.
NPCP & International
It means Code Pilates is listed in the NPCP School Directory as a verified program offering Mat and Comprehensive education. Verification is not school accreditation or automatic NPCP certification.
No. A Code Pilates certificate documents completion of your education pathway. NCPT is a separate professional credential requiring current NPCP eligibility, an independent application and successful examination.
Workshops approved by NPCP may award the number of CECs stated in the announcement. Each workshop card identifies its CEC status and credit amount; approval scope and validity should be checked.
520 hours in total — above the 450-hour minimum NPCP sets for comprehensive teacher training.
Code Pilates Academy workshops are delivered by Barış Özdemir, NCPT, and Master Trainers from the Code Pilates Academy coaching faculty. All instructors are highly qualified professionals with advanced expertise in Pilates education and movement science.
The specific instructor(s) delivering each workshop are clearly stated in the individual workshop description.
All Code Pilates Academy workshops are officially approved by the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) and qualify for Continuing Education Credits (CEC). Certificates are issued in accordance with international professional standards.
Yes. Participants who complete the workshop in full receive a certificate of participation including NPCP-approved CEC credits. Certificates are issued in English and sent as a PDF via email within a maximum of 7 business days following the workshop.
Only workshops explicitly identified as NPCP-approved CEC workshops provide the stated credit. Code Online Studio participation certificates are separate and do not automatically represent NPCP CEC credit.
NCPT is an independent certification title in Pilates; it is awarded by the NPCP’s own exam, not by a school. The path at Code Pilates is straightforward: you complete all apparatus trainings, receive your comprehensive certificate, and can then apply for the NCPT exam. The application and exam process is handled directly with the NPCP.
Workshops

The required experience level may vary depending on the workshop; specific prerequisites are outlined in each workshop’s description.

Consultancy
This consultancy is designed for Pilates instructors, instructor candidates, and professionals who wish to clarify their career direction, strengthen their professional vision, or overcome stagnation in their professional journey. It is suitable for individuals at all experience levels who aim to build a structured, conscious, and sustainable career path.
At the end of the session, participants gain clarity regarding their professional direction, priorities, and next steps. While strategic guidance and insight are provided, the consultancy does not guarantee specific outcomes such as income growth, career advancement, or certification achievements. Implementation remains the responsibility of the participant.
Depending on the selected consultancy service, sessions may include career planning, goal setting, education and certification pathways, specialization strategies, professional positioning, long-term development planning, and decision-making guidance. Each session is tailored to the individual needs and professional background of the participant.
No. All consultancy sessions are strictly confidential and are not recorded. Participants are not permitted to record audio, video, or screen content, or to take screenshots during the session.
This service is not a training program. It is a one-to-one professional consultancy and mentorship process. The focus is not on delivering predefined educational content, but on guiding participants to clarify their own goals and create a personalized professional roadmap.
Individual consultancy services are non-refundable and non-cancellable. In cases of force majeure (such as health issues or unforeseen mandatory circumstances), the session may be rescheduled once, provided written notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session.
Each consultancy session is planned as a single, independent session. There is no obligation to continue. However, if deemed beneficial, additional sessions may be recommended by the consultant. Participation in further sessions is entirely optional and based on the participant’s goals.
It is a fit if you want to clarify your professional direction, choose a specialisation, or move past a period of stagnation — it is open to every experience level. It is not a training programme: there is no predefined curriculum, the work is on your own goals and a personal professional roadmap. Each session is planned as a single, independent session of 40–60 minutes and is conducted one-to-one by Barış Özdemir. Strategic guidance and insight are provided; specific outcomes such as income growth, career advancement or certification are not guaranteed, and implementation remains yours.
This duration allows for focused analysis, structured discussion, and effective guidance without compromising clarity or efficiency. The exact length may vary depending on the scope of the topic, but sessions do not extend beyond the scheduled timeframe.
All consultancy sessions are conducted directly by Barış Özdemir. The consultancy process is delivered one-to-one and is not delegated to assistants or third parties. Participants receive personalized guidance based on Barış Özdemir’s professional experience, international education background, and long-term involvement in instructor education and consultancy.
Attendance, Location, Cancellation
Movement Foundations establishes functional anatomy, biomechanics, movement observation, posture and safe-teaching principles. It creates the shared professional language used across Mat, Reformer and Comprehensive education.
All three formats may be used depending on the program. Practical apparatus modules may require in-person work and assessment; the exact format is stated in each training announcement.
Each announcement clearly states the language, country, city, time zone and attendance format. Online schedules are published in the educator’s stated local time zone.
