Barış Özdemir began his journey in the Balanced Body Pilates certification program in 2010 and successfully completed all certification modules by 2013. In the same year, he also passed the Balanced Body Comprehensive Trainer exam, becoming one of the first instructors in Turkey to achieve this advanced-level certification.
In addition to his expertise in Pilates, Barış Özdemir is a trained Biologist. During his university years, he conducted extensive studies in Anatomy and Physiology and integrated this scientific knowledge into his Pilates teaching methodology.
In 2018, he became one of the first instructors in Turkey to pass the exam of the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP), earning the NCPT — Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher credential. He is the founder of Code Pilates Academy, and delivers accredited continuing education workshops for Pilates professionals, with workshops eligible for NPCP continuing education credits.
Baris Ozdemir is also a second-year student in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department at Üsküdar University and holds Pilates Coaching Certificates and Licenses from the Turkish Gymnastics Federation.
During his five years at the Balanced Body Pilates Education Türkiye Education Center, he took part in more than 100 instructor training programs and workshops, providing mentorship and teaching Pilates classes for intern instructors.
In 2016, he founded Code Pilates Academy, through which he has trained expert Pilates instructors both in person and online. As of 2025, Barış Özdemir has become a Master Instructor for Balanced Body — one of the world’s most respected Pilates schools and continues to deliver official Balanced Body teacher training programs
He is also officially accredited as a REPs UAE Registered Exercise Professional (Category G Comprehensive), strengthening his professional standing in the United Arab Emirates.
Barış Özdemir is currently based in Dubai, where he continues his professional work as a Master Instructor and maintains his role within Code Pilates Academy. He provides in-person and online trainings and workshops in the UAE, neighboring countries, and around the world.
